Among the activities that took place, I had the opportunity to attend several presentations and network with various authors. Additionally, I enrolled in the course *"What’s a CubeSat? A Normativity Frame for Nano Satellites in a Global Context,"* which greatly enriched my knowledge of these satellites and serves as valuable theoretical support for the development of my thesis project. I had the honor of being part of the panel *“Promoting Gender Equality in Aerospace Engineering: Strategies and Best Practices”*, where I engaged in an enriching dialogue with other women who shared their stories, challenges, and achievements. From them, I learned that inclusion and diversity in science and technology, despite historical barriers, are crucial for progress in these fields. Additionally, I had the opportunity to deliver a presentation titled *“Design of a Communication Module Using the APRS Protocol for Satellite Communications”* about satellite communications and their importance in the aerospace sector in Mexico.

Organizing and executing an academic conference is a significant challenge. The various aspects involved—securing sponsorships, writing/gathering technical papers, bringing together speakers, attendees, and relevant authorities—require extensive preparation time. The organization of the event must target a very specific audience. Academic research events are a niche, and the aerospace niche is particularly small. One must ask, What type of attendees do we want at the event? Answering this question will guide the rest of the event planning.

I had the opportunity to attend ICASST 2023 for the first time, and it was an incredibly enriching experience that broadened my understanding of aerospace science and technology. This year, at ICASST 2024, my participation expanded significantly, as I had the privilege of taking on multiple roles: as a staff member, speaker, and attendee in the various activities of the event. Being part of the staff allowed me to get closely involved with the organizational aspects, offering me a behind-the-scenes perspective on how a large-scale academic event is coordinated. As a speaker, I had the opportunity to present my research, receive valuable feedback from experts in the field, and engage in stimulating discussions. Additionally, attending the sessions further enriched my knowledge, exposing me to cutting-edge research and innovative ideas presented by industry leaders and fellow students. I had the honor of participating in both ICASST 2023 and ICASST 2024, experiences that were incredibly enriching. However, the difference this year was that my participation was much broader, as I had the privilege of being part of the staff in various roles: managing the reception and registration of attendees, as well as acting as a "jack-of-all-trades" in different activities. This allowed me to gain direct insight into the internal workings of the event and work closely with the organizers to ensure its success. As a speaker, I had the opportunity to present my research to a specialized audience, an invaluable experience. I received constructive feedback from experts in the field (my advisors), which helped me enrich my knowledge and broaden my perspectives. Additionally, as an attendee, I was able to participate in lectures and technical sessions, further motivating me to continue exploring this fascinating field. This event not only expanded my professional horizons but also allowed me to connect with colleagues and experts, reinforcing my passion for research and my academic development. This year, I was part of the staff for ICASST, where I helped set up equipment necessary for the registration of attendees, such as tables, badges, and a television to project the event schedule. One key learning I took away was the communication with various people to complete certain tasks simultaneously. Additionally, I had the opportunity to present a paper on the study of lateral dynamics in the tires of an unmanned terrestrial rover, alongside my colleagues, where the audience provided us with valuable feedback and new ideas to improve the work in the future. I also attended a lecture on methodology for a space mission given by the Master in Science, Carlos Duarte, whose presentation broadened my perspective on the areas involved in an aerospace mission, along with other talks on CubeSats and PID control.
